Jesse Gomez and Chef Jose Acevedo Open Mercado in Manhattan Beach

Some seven years after opening their first Mercado restaurant in downtown Santa Monica, Jose Gomez and Chef Jose Acevedo have opened in another coastal town: Manhattan Beach.
In between, they opened in Hollywood, Pasadena, and Los Angeles.
Mercado is known for its elevated Mexican cuisine. Here, you'll find Mushroom Choriqueso, Mexican Kale Salad, Elote, Jicama Ahi Tacos, and seasonal Market Vegetables with an upscale California aesthetic. It's an inventive menu that reflects Acevedo and Gomez’s Mexican roots with items like Enchiladas De Pollo En Mole Oaxaqueño, Carnitas, and Carne Asada. The bar is a tequila lovers paradise with 70 premium silver, reposado and añejo tequilas and mezcals.
The MB outlet is open for lunch, dinner, and brunch in Manhattan Village Shopping Center, 3212A Sepulveda Boulevard; 310-310-545-0388. Hours are: Monday/Tuesday 11:30 a.m.–9:30 p.m.;
Wednesday–Saturday 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
