Members of the Manhattan Beach Police Department are gearing up to "serve" diners at Tin Roof Bistro on Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 5-9 p.m. to raise funds for Special Olympics.

Since 2012, MBPD has raised more than $55,000 for local Special Olympics athletes by taking on the roles of hosts and waiters during their Annual Tip-A-Cop event.

During the evening, MBPD staff will collect tips and donations to benefit Special Olympics, which provides athletic training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the South Bay area. Tips and donations are deductible.
